Guided summit tour to the 3.203 m high Kitzsteinhorn

At this guided tour State-certified mountain guides accompany participants secured by rope to the summit of the Kitzsteinhorn at 3.203 meters. The climb is rewarded with a breathtaking view - from the glaciated flanks of the three-thousanders of the adjacent Hohe Tauern National Park over the rugged cirques of the Steinernes Meer and grassy slopes of the Kitzbühel Alps down to the Zeller Basin.

The glacier cable cars provide visitors with comfortable access to the Kitzsteinhorn summit region. Both the glacier jet lifts and the glacier shuttle buses transport guests to high altitudes.

High alpine mountain experience and easy circular hiking trails

The  Kitzsteinhorn offers right on the border Hohe Tauern National Park a varied hiking terrain like hardly any other area. Sometimes gently ascending paths over green soils and with a colorful variety of flowers, sometimes high alpine rocky landscapes with karst paths. The cable cars take you easily to the starting points the hiking routes. On guided tours you can climb your first 3.000 meter peak or dare to go on an adventurous expedition through the climate zones of the Kitzsteinhorn with the national park ranger.

You have a magnificent view from the “Top of Salzburg” and “National Park Gallery” viewing platforms. The Parents make yourself comfortable in the adjacent one Alpine Center Restaurant cozy and have the little adventurers while balancing, swinging, sliding and flying at the playground always in view.

Langwied water playground

Splash, splash – water fun! On the gentle green plateau of Langwiedboden, small canal builders, water dams and splashers are in their element. The water playground offers numerous Water Play Equipment made out of wood and pure mountain water bubbles through the channels and pools. Cozy rest areas provide pure enjoyment for parents while the kids play by the water.

Before you go on a hike, it is advisable to find out about the difficulty levels, trail conditions and weather conditions. Some of the routes may require appropriate equipment and preparation. Kaprun offers a wealth of scenic hiking trails for all levels, so everyone can enjoy nature and the surrounding beauty in their own way.
